A rare Arab perspective on Indians...

I recently came across this article in a newspaper in Qatar called the Qatar Tribune.
Since this is still not available online I had to post the scanned copy of the article as an image.
A wonderful eulogy on Indians from an Arab scholar. Read it and enjoy the moment with pride.

An interesting read definitely. Thanks for sharing.

It does beg the question though as to the original intent of the author - as there are so many different viewpoints (barbs?) he managed to bring into it. Some that jumped out to me:

1. The plight of Indian labourers - is he justifying the treatment meted out thus far?
2. Science and space are the yardstick to measure a country's advancement?
3. The 'value' driven Indian mentality - 700million to 16billion
4. If the per capita income of the middle-east citizens is quite high in the world, where is the need to innovate?
5. Reference to poems and romance. Spoken like a typically left-brain(er).

More thoughts abound - but - i'll shut up for now :)
